A Guy From Rockford Gets More Than 20 Years for Two Crimes, One of Which Killed a 16-year-old.

ROCKFORD, Illinois (CBS) — A man from Rockford was given a combined prison term of over 20 years for his involvement in two separate criminal acts.

Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm was the crime to which Christopher Stucke pled guilty. The remaining charges were dropped entirely.

When the driver of the stolen automobile turned around in 2021, someone fired bullets at the undercover police’s car, according to the Rockford Police Department, who added that the officer was following the stolen car. The officer did not sustain any injuries.

On Tuesday, Stucke was given a sentence of eight years in prison. In addition to this, he will have to serve 15 years in the Department of Corrections for a shooting that occurred in 2020 on Blaisdell Street and resulted in the death of a 16-year-old.

Stucke will receive credit for the approximately 18 months that he has already served in regard to both charges.
