Shocking Twist: Lancaster Teen’s July Shooting Sparks Explosive Police Investigation!

A teenager from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has been charged after allegedly shooting at two individuals in the presence of several children, according to local police.

The accused, Allen Mobley, 18 years old, was captured on surveillance footage reportedly firing a firearm approximately five times towards two men along the 200 block of E. Filbert Street on July 19. Lancaster City Bureau Police have filed charges in connection with this incident.

At the time of the shooting, there were seven children riding bicycles in the vicinity. Mobley allegedly discharged shots from a black 9mm handgun. Upon police arrival at approximately 7:20 p.m., they discovered four used shell casings in a backyard, along with a bullet on the road near a damaged Subaru.

The surveillance video capturing the shooting was obtained from the Lancaster Safety Coalition, as per the police.

An investigation involving a separate incident had led to the discovery of a sweatshirt in the area. This sweatshirt played a role in identifying Allen Mobley as the suspected shooter.

In the early hours of Sunday, August 13, the police located Mobley near a residence on Fourth Street. He attempted to flee and led officers on a pursuit through multiple backyards. After surrounding the area, the police eventually located him on a second-floor balcony. During his arrest, Mobley was allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine.

Mobley is facing a range of charges, including felony counts for unlawfully carrying a firearm without a license, criminal trespass, and the possession or distribution of controlled substances. Additionally, he is charged with multiple misdemeanors, including nine counts of recklessly endangering another person.

Currently, Mobley is incarcerated at the Lancaster County Prison without bail. Online court records indicate that his bail request was denied due to concerns about being a significant community threat and a potential flight risk.
