iPhone 15 Pro Max: Shocking 3-4 Week Shipping Delay Linked to Sony!

As the Apple September event approaches, there are rumors suggesting that the iPhone 15 will bring significant enhancements to both the screen and battery. However, the most highly anticipated improvement is expected in the camera department.

According to speculations, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is the most expensive variant in the lineup, will introduce a dedicated periscope camera. This new camera is anticipated to provide a greater optical zoom capability compared to the current limit of 3x zoom.

A recent report from 9to5Google raises the possibility that the iPhone 15 Pro Max might experience a shipping delay of 3 to 4 weeks. The reason behind this delay is attributed to Sony’s inability to supply the required image sensor on time. This information stems from a significant equity analyst note that was accessed by a source at 9to5Mac.

Recent leaks also suggest that, aside from the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Plus models will not feature the periscope lens. Instead, they will come equipped with an ultrawide camera.

The iPhone 15 series is rumored to incorporate a USB Type-C port for charging, replacing the traditional lightning connector. Additionally, the non-Pro models are expected to feature the Dynamic Island, while the Pro models might undergo a frame material change from stainless steel to titanium. Furthermore, the physical mute button could be replaced with a programmable button similar to the one found on the Apple Watch Ultra.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 series alongside the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 on September 12, with pre-orders starting to ship on September 22. However, if the recent report holds true, the delivery schedule for the iPhone 15 Pro Max could potentially be delayed to a range between October 6 and October 13.
