Shocking Travis Kelce Injury Update! Chiefs Star’s Knee Hyperextended – What’s Next?

Travis Kelce Injury Updates: The Kansas City Chiefs are kicking off their defense of last season’s Super Bowl title this Thursday night as they host the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium. However, there’s an intriguing twist to this preseason game between Kansas City and the up-and-coming Lions.

During a media briefing on Tuesday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid informed reporters that standout tight end Travis Kelce had “hyperextended” his knee in practice, casting doubt on his availability for Thursday night’s game.

On Tuesday afternoon, ESPN’s Adam Schefter provided an update, indicating that the Chiefs believed Kelce’s ACL remained “intact.”

Kelce had an impressive performance last year, participating in all 17 regular season games for the Chiefs. He led the team in targets (152), receptions (110), and receiving yards (1,338). Kelce also played a significant role in Kansas City’s journey to the Super Bowl, recording 14 catches (out of 17 targets) for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ Divisional Round victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also scored touchdowns in both the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl.
